The Experience: The Bikes

Your bike for the Challenge & Lite Tour

BMC has been making them for nearly 10 years and here in Switzerland the Alpen Challenge has a cult status. This bicycle is a hybrid with 700c wheels , flat handlebars and trigger shifting. But at only 9.65 kilos, with three chain rings and Continental Sport Contact tires, the AC02 is an excellent climber, and the frame's geometry was built for hard and fast riding. So, keep it light and nimble, or load it down with full rack and panniers. It's the most versatile machine you'll find on the road.

Your bike for Jura Tour & Tour de Suisse

Weighing in at 8.6 kilos, the BMC Street Racer is the machine for long and hard road cycling. The Street Racer has a triple-butted alloy frame, carbon fork and standard 700c road wheels and tires. Our smaller frames (48 and 51 inch) are equipped with Shimano 105 and a triple chain ring, while our larger sizes are equipped with Shimano Ultegra and have a compact chain ring.

Your bike for the Lite and Challenge tours

Switzerland's most advanced Ebike has a fully integrated battery within the frame that can be removed with the click of a button. These bikes can reach speeds of 25km per hour and the battery can last as long as 80km depending upon the level of assistance. If you're interested in using an electric bike, please let us know when registering for a tour.

Our BMC bikes are perfectly adapted for the conditions you'll be facing on the bike paths here.

They are equipped with Continental tires and their safety system means that punctures are a rare occurance. Our bikes also have double-faced pedals ready for your SPD cleats or standard walking shoe. You'll also have a rear seat post rack, water cage and slick road tires.

You may choose to bring your own seat, pedals, bottles and/or other accessories.
