New Bike Shop Website
Our old and crusty bike shop website (www.bikeshopswitzerland.com) is getting a make-over.
We’re moving to a new platform (Magento 2.0) which is going to allow us to showcase more products, categories, etcetera, etcetera.
There will be more information about bikes, accessories, servicing, etcetera.
We’re already at the final stages and so the new shop should be up and running before the end of the month
Bike Switzerland Winter Clothing
We’re producing our first ever winter clothing.
As in year’s past, we’ll be manufacturing these items with Giessegi of Italy.
We’ll be offering a winter cycling jacket as well as full-length bibs.
Our initial run for 2017 will be small (probably 50 units of each), but you can make sure to get yourself a kit and save 10% by putting in a pre-order.
The items will be available for pre-order by the end of the month when the new website comes on-line.
We hope to have all items delivered for christmas.
As of now, we believe our last day will be October 29th.
If I sound hesitant, it’s because we’re currently having some great short-sleeve weather in Geneva and so it’s possible that we may push that closing date…but don’t count on it.
So, knowing that, keep in mind:
• We’re keeping our “Winterize” your bike offer until the store closes. See details here.
• We still have lots of used rental bikes for sale. Although it will be possible to buy online when the store is closed, now is your only chance to come in and see the bikes.
• Pre-order your 2017 Trek from now until the shop closes and we’ll give you 10% of the purchase price to spend on accessories. Example: the bike costs 2,500 chf. We’ll give you 250 chf in accessories.
We plan to re-open whenever things warm up. That’s likely the beginning of March.
Our last official Bike Shop Switzerland club ride is scheduled for October 29th.
Thereafter, the ride leaders or other members may organize outings and post on the Facebook page, but there will not be regular organized rides until the shop re-opens in March.
If you live in (or near) Geneva, find out about our last two rides by joining our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bikeclubswitzerland/
Matt & Nathalie Gain (our ride leaders) will be opening Spin Genève again this year.
The openning date, schedule and conditions are still being discussed, but if all goes as planned, you’ll be able to keep fit at the bike shop at some point after the first week of November.
