Challenge Route Day 6: Interlaken -> Lucerne

A few choices today:

Catch the 10am boat from Interlaken and take a cruise (with your bike) across Lake Brienz. You’ll make stops at the fairytale island of Iseltwald and also see the world-famous Geissbach falls. Or ride the shores of Lake Brienz before arriving in Meiringen to ascend the Brunig pass.

The Brunig climb is optional. There are trains in Meiringen which will take you and your bike up and over the pass.

The afternoon’s paths are flat and picturesque and take you through the bustling medieval village of Sarnen. Quench your thirst with a tall beer in the market square before biking the last 30 kilometers.

Once on Lake Lucerne, follow the lakeside bike paths through villages and elegant neighborhoods until reaching the city.

Our hotel overlooks the lake in the city center. Put your bike away and get your street clothes out to explore the possibilities.
